Why does it seem that tv was so much better 10 years ago than it is now.  I mean the last great show was seriously Friends, and since then the only thing that is supposedly close is Two and a half men??? Come on

When i was growing up, we just were nearing the end of Family Ties, Charles in Charge and right in the heart of the Cosby Show, Who's the Boss and Growing Pains.  Now those were good shows.  I mean even Alf, Hogan's Family hell even Full House were better than anything we have on the tube in terms of comedy now.  And as much as it pains me to include Full House in the mix (Uncle Jessie was cool tho) i merely mention it because i do believe it is on par with Two and A half Men.

OF course in the 90's we did have NBC bring us Friends and Seinfeld which of course were genius but where have the network execs gone from there.  It seems like all these guys are too consumed with reality tv and have lost their creative flare in creating good comedies. 

What has been happening is the cable networks are the ones taking the lead on this stuff now.  HBO has curb your enthusiasm and Comedy Central had chappelle show, colbert report and daily show.  But what about the big networks.

There was nothing better than watching those comedies before, now its pathetic.  Which leads me to believe that I should take over as the president of NBC....revive it.  I mean come on, how much worse can it be.  In fact i think i can do a really good job of it.
